Pocono Retreats: What Are They?

Wrigley Associates has begun to offer overnight and weekend retreats in the Poconos.

The location is in Lehighton, which is about an hour from Norristown and King of Prussia area. It is ten minutes from the Leheighton/209 exit of the NE extension of the turnpike, just after Allentown and the tunnel.

Right now, we are offering a special introductory price of $60 per person or $80 per couple - and that includes overnight, a 20 minute massage per person, and a delicious breakfast.

A single person can have overnight, a 20 minute massage, and a yummy breakfast for $60.

This is a unique and somewhat rustic & secluded property that can sleep 14 + people, and has 3 different mobile homes, each with a different theme.

Beach - Breakfasts are served in the Beach mobile home.

Oriental - with 3 BR's, LR, microwave, oven, toaster, and 2 bathrooms.

Jungle - with 2 BR's, & 1 bathroom, LR, a full kitchen, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & pots and pans.

Note. There are mirrors over the 3 of the available double bunk beds, 2 in Jungle and 1 in Oriental..

There is also an outdoor refrigerator, shower, gas and charcoal grill, fire pit and porta potty for campers. There are 3 gliders and 3 hammocks in the center court. Outdoor hot tub is available also This is a wonderful place for white water rafters or bicycle enthusiasts, as even a short massage can make a big difference after an exhilarating workout. Longer massages are also available.

The property is 10 minutes away from the Lehighton/Palmerton/ 209 Mahoning Valley exit of the NE extension of the tnpk or 1 1/4 hrs from King of Prussia. It is about 15 miles from Jim Thorpe, where there are several places to rent bikes and go white water rafting. Mauch Chunk Lake is also close and has a lake, sand beach and kayaks for rent. Groups can be for as small as one or two couples, and retreats can be custom created. Imagine how nice it might feel, to have a massage on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday, or some variation.

Picture going white water rafting, biking, or laying on the beach at Mauch Chunk Lake on Sat, and coming back to a favorite previously chosen dinner and gourmet appetizers prepared for you, followed by a relaxing massage to the sounds of ocean waves and sea gulls in the background.

Dinner might be followed by listening to guitar music by a campfire.

There are 3 mobile homes there, each having a different theme.

One has a Jungle theme, another is Oriental, and the third has a Beach theme.

There are 2 or 3 bedrooms in each and 1-2 bathrooms.

It is fun to imagine being in a different location without the chaos, time, and expense of traveling to get there. Participants can choose to have a party and wear corresponding attire with the themes. There is also camping space available, an outdoor refrigerator, gas grill, shower, and porta potty

There is a world of outdoor summer excitement surrounding Lehighton. Nearby, there is scenic Mauch Chunk Beach, and just over the hill, there are many hiking opportunities including climbing to beautiful settings. And, of course, here families work and play to shared goals and celebrate accomplishments together.
