Pocono Retreats: What Are They?

Karen Wrigley and Rejuvenation Express are currently offering unique mini-retreats or overnights in the Poconos area located in a somewhat rustic & secluded property that has 3 different mobile homes on it, each with a different theme: Beach, Jungle, and Oriental.

They are arranged in a U-shape around a Center Court for privacy, with gliders that cirucle a fire pit in the center. There are multiple tables, chairs, and hammocks available, a gas grill, ann outdoor refrigerator, outdoor shower, and a hot tub.

There are two mobile homes available, Jungle and Oriental, and a third Beach mobile home, where the owner stays and serves guests' breakfasts.

One of the availables has a Jungle theme, which has 2 BR's, & 1 bathroom, LR, a full kitchenn, refrigerator, microwave toaster, coffee maker & pots and pans. The Cheetah BR has a double bunk bed with a mirror over the double bed. The Zebra BR is a second BR and has a double bed and a single bed above it. The Living room has a futon: a 2 person couch/bed. There is an air conditioner in the living room that keeps the Jungle mobile quite comfortable on a hot day. There are several heaters available for colder or chilly nights.

The Oriental mobile home has 3 BR's, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining table, microwave, sink, stove, coffee maker, toaster, air conditioning in the living room, and the back bedroom we call the Maroon room. The first room beyond the living room is the Red room, and has its own bathroom. The Blue room is the middle room. They are small but cute and have beds that are comfortable.

Either mobile home can be rented for $100 a night. A 3rd night can be booked for a total of $250. They both can sleep a maximum of 7 people for a total of 14 people, if both mobile homes are rented. They are each most comfortable with just 4 or so renters. You can rent either or both mobile homes. Tent camping is also possible.

We are currently offering a little add on to the rentals of a 20 or 30 minute massage per person ($20/30.00) plus $5.00 for breakfast. When you make a reservation for a booking that includes breakfast, it is best to share what your ideal breakfast looks like, so we can have the type of food items that you prefer. This includes particular food preferences between couples or friends. We try to cater to personal preferences whenever possible.

This is a wonderful place for hikers, kayakers, white water rafters, or bicycle enthusiasts to enjoy, as even a short massage and a hot tub can make a big difference after an exhilarating workout. Longer massages are also available.

The property is 10 minutes away from the Lehighton/Palmerton/ 209 Mahoning Valley exit of the NE extension of the tnpk or 1 1/4 hrs from King of Prussia. It is about 12 miles from Jim Thorpe, where there are several places to rent bikes and go white water rafting. Beltsville State Park is also close, free, and has a lake with shade trees, where you can grill, do yoga, meditate, hike or have a picnic. There is a sand beach there and kayaks available for rent. If you own your own boat you can launch it from there with a boat permit. Mauch Chunk Lake, near to Jim Thorpe, is is also a nice place to visit near the property.

There is a world of outdoor summer excitement surrounding Lehighton. Nearby, there is scenic Mauch Chunk Beach, and just over the hill, there are many hiking opportunities including climbing to beautiful settings. And, of course, There families work and play to shared goals and celebrate accomplishments together.
